What is Biometric Authentication?

Biometric Authentication means the identity authentication function using biometric credentials (For example, fingerprint, facial map or any other biometric data).

Biometric Authentication Service is only applicable to KGI Asia Power Trader. You can log into KGI Asia Power Trader quickly and easily by using the biometric credential instead of entering your password every time.

How to activate the Biometric Authentication Service?

You can activate the Biometric Authentication Service after login. Go to “More” > “Biometric Authentication”

Which mobile devices support Biometric Authentication Service?

Fingerprint Authentication is available on:

iPhone

Support Touch ID with Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch models with iOS/iPadOS version 13.0 or above (excluding Beta version)

 

Android Mobile Device:

Android mobile devices running OS version 10.0 or above with compatible fingerprint sensor enabled.

 

Face Recognition is available on:

Support Face ID with Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch models with iOS/iPadOS version 13.0 or above (excluding Beta version)

Can a mobile device store multiple biometric credential(s)?

Yes. Any biometric credential(s) stored on your mobile device can be used to log into KGI Asia Power Trader after you activate the Biometric Authentication Service. Therefore, you should only store your own biometric credential(s) on your mobile device.

Will KGI store my biometric credentials?
No. KGI will never store your biometric credentials.
Can I deactivate the Biometric Authentication Service?
Yes. You can deactivate the Biometric Authentication Service anytime after login. Go to “More” > “Biometric Authentication”
Why is my Biometric Authentication disabled?
Your Biometric Authentication may be disabled because of the following security reasons:.
- Your biometric credential on your mobile device has been changed
- Your login password has been changed
- Your registered mobile device has been removed
To activate the Biometric Authentication, please go to “More” > select “Biometric Authentication” to continue using Biometric Authentication service.
