{Short Sales}Full-day T/O at HK$16bn, or 19% of Total

[ET Net News Agency, 24 July 2024] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$86.9
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$16.4 billion, or 18.87% of the market's
turnover. There were 650 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and MEITUAN-W (03690)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.23 billion and HK$1.2 billion, or
7.48% and 7.34% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
34.93% and 24.58% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and CCB (00939) registered HK$656.56 million and HK$507.33 million
of short sales, accounting for 4% and 3.09% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 58.08% and 33.53% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.14, or 0.78%, to HK$17.88. MEITUAN-W ended down HK$4.8, or
4.06%, to HK$113.3. CSOP HS TECH fell HK$0.054, or 1.55% to HK$3.432. CCB jumped HK$0.02,
or 0.36%, to HK$5.5.
