{Short Sales}Full-day T/O at HK$17bn, or 19% of Total
[ET Net News Agency, 15 July 2024] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$91.15
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$16.99 billion, or 18.64% of the market's
turnover. There were 655 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and TENCENT (00700)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.15 billion and HK$975.25 million, or
6.77% and 5.74% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
18.08% and 18.21% of respective stock's turnover.
CCB (00939) and CSOP HS TECH (03033) registered HK$910.97 million and HK$751.55 million
of short sales, accounting for 5.36% and 4.42% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 44.18% and 39.28% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.28, or 1.48%, to HK$18.58. TENCENT ended down HK$6.8, or
1.71%, to HK$390.2. CCB fell HK$0.04, or 0.71% to HK$5.62. CSOP HS TECH declined by
HK$0.098, or 2.64%, to HK$3.612.
