{Short Sales}Full-day T/O at HK$16bn, or 16% of Total
[ET Net News Agency, 11 July 2024] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$100.38
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$16.03 billion, or 15.97% of the market's
turnover. There were 657 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and TENCENT (00700)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.95 billion and HK$1.5 billion, or
12.14% and 9.35% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
31.53% and 23.56% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and CCB (00939) registered HK$777.03 million and HK$605.74 million
of short sales, accounting for 4.85% and 3.78% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 31.25% and 31.93% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.38, or 2.11%, to HK$18.4. TENCENT ended up HK$7.2, or 1.91%,
to HK$384.8. CSOP HS TECH rose HK$0.098, or 2.77% to HK$3.634. CCB jumped HK$0.1, or
1.84%, to HK$5.53.
