{Short Sales}Full-day T/O at HK$19bn, or 19% of Total
[ET Net News Agency, 10 July 2024] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$102.34
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$19.1 billion, or 18.67% of the market's
turnover. There were 668 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and TENCENT (00700)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.87 billion and HK$1.53 billion, or
9.79% and 8% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
29.4% and 25.72% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and MEITUAN-W (03690) registered HK$1.17 billion and HK$870.38
million of short sales, accounting for 6.11% and 4.56% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 64.86% and 24.24% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.03, or 0.17%, to HK$18.02. TENCENT ended down HK$3.4, or
0.89%, to HK$377.6. CSOP HS TECH rose HK$0.006, or 0.17% to HK$3.536. MEITUAN-W jumped
HK$0.2, or 0.17%, to HK$114.9.
