{Short Sales}Half-day T/O at HK$10bn, or 17% of Total
[ET Net News Agency, 10 July 2024] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$57.77
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$9.75 billion, or 16.88% of the market's
turnover. There were 617 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and TENCENT (00700)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.28 billion and HK$816.01 million, or
13.12% and 8.37% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
28.5% and 25.3% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and MEITUAN-W (03690) registered HK$672.82 million and HK$471.61
million of short sales, accounting for 6.9% and 4.84% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 65.64% and 23.32% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.06, or 0.33%, to HK$18.11. TENCENT ended down HK$1.2, or
0.31%, to HK$379.8. CSOP HS TECH rose HK$0.032, or 0.91% to HK$3.562. MEITUAN-W jumped
HK$2, or 1.74%, to HK$116.7.
