The Hang Seng Index opened 64 points lower at 19,475 points, the index remain volatile. It once rose 42 points and fell 4 points in half a day to 19,535 points; the China Enterprises Index fell 5 points to 6,727 points; the Hang Seng Technology Index fell 11 points or 0.3 percent to 4,486 points. The market's half-day turnover was HK$ 43.1 bn. The pharmaceutical sector was under pressure today, with China Traditional Chinese Medicine (570) and AK Medical (1789) both down more than 11%. In addition, it was rumored that the major shareholder of Vinda (3331) planned to sell shares at a premium of 26%, and the share price rose by nearly 12%.
