U.S. stocks closed low last night. The Hang Seng Index opened slightly higher by 16 points, at 17,541 points. However, it fell 105 points, or 0.6%, to 17,419 points. The H-Share Enterprise Index fell by 43 points, or 0.7%, to 5,981 points. The Hang Seng Technology Index fell by 12 points. points or 0.3%, reported at 4,019 points. The total half-day turnover of the market was HK$43.5 billion. Meituan (3690) shares fell 3.3% to HK$105 before the release of the earning result. Today, mobile phone equipment stocks rallied, with Sunny Optical(2382) and Xiaomi (1810) rising 4.3% and 3.4% respectively.
