Hong Kong stock market fluctuated in a narrow range today with shrinking trading volume. The HSI opened 91 points higher before falling back, recovering its losses after falling 162 points. It closed at 21,971, down 8 points today. The HSCEI fell less than 1 point to close at 8,080. The HSTECH rose 5 points, or 0.1%, to close at 4,988. The total market turnover for the day was HK$169.03bn. Consumer stock Pop Mart (9992) recently launched new products under its popular IP, and its share price soared by 12%. Domestic media reported that the clinical test results of Akeso Biopharma (9926) and its partner Summit's drug ivonescimab did not reach the statistical significance threshold, and Akeso Biopharma's share price fell 11.8%.
