Following the performance of U.S. stocks, the Hang Seng Index opened 102 points higher today, opening at 18,080 points and the gain narrowed to 50 points, closed at 18,028 points; the HSCEI Index rose 15 points, to 6,471 points; the Hang Seng Technology Index rose 23 points, or 0.6%, to 3,650 points. The total daily turnover of the market was HK$90.79 billion. Tencent (700) once rose to HK$386.8 at market open, but the gain narrowed to 0.8% and closed at HK$382.4. Sporting goods stocks continued to be under pressure, with Li Ning (2331) and Anta (2020) fell 3.8% and 1.2% respectively.
