The market is focusing on the US's tariffs that will finally announce on April 2. Stock markets in the Asia-Pacific region generally fell, and Hong Kong market followed the decline today. The HSI opened 219 points lower and then extended its decline, falling 404 points or 1.7% at mid-day to 23,022; the HSCEI fell 126 points or 1.5% to 8,479; the HSTECH fell 168 points or 3.1% to 5,338. The market's mid-day turnover totaled HK$143.79bn. Heavyweight technology stocks generally fell, with Tencent (0700) and Alibaba (9988) falling more than 3% respectively. Li Ning (2331) had its earnings guidance lowered by brokerage firms, and its share price fell 8.9%.
