U.S. stocks closed down last night. The Hang Seng Index opened 225 points lower  at 18,357 points. The index once narrowed the decline to 141 points, half day close fell 258 points or 1.4% at 18,323 point. The H-Share Index fell 86 points or 1.3% at 6,280 points. The Hang Seng Technology Index fell 54 points, or 1.3% to 4,125 points. The market's half-day turnover was HK$ 49.7 bn. HKEx (388) fell 1% to HK$298 before the results announcement. Financial stocks were weak. HSBC (0005) fell 2.2% to HK$ 59.85 and Standard Chartered (2888) fell 1.2% to HK$ 72.6.
