The market is waiting for the US inflation data to be released tonight. HSI opened 71 points higher and then dropped 89 points. It rose 46 points or 0.2% in mid-day to 21,211. HSCEI rose 11 points or 0.2% to 7,156; HSTECH fell 10 points or 0.2% to 4,364. The half-day turnover of the market narrowed to HK$48.4bn. Wharf Real Estate (1997), whose share price fell yesterday due to the announcement of a negative profit warning, got rebound today, up 2.6% to HK$43.95. The bio-tech sector was weak, WuXi Biologics (2269) and GenScript (1548) fell 4.1% and 4.8% respectively.
