The Hang Seng Index closed at 17,936 points for the day, down 5 points. The Hang Seng Technology Index reported at 3,709 points, up 1 point. The HSCEI Index fell 1 point, or 0.0%, to 6,373 points. The market turnover was HK$96.324 billion. In terms of technology stocks, Meituan (3690) rose more than 1.8%, Tencent (700) rose 0.4%, and Alibaba (9988) fell 0.4%. Brilliance China (1114) paid a special dividend and its stock price rose 18.8%. BYD Electronics (285) stock price continued to perform well, rose another 6.3%, hitting a new high in the past two years.
