The National Bureau of Statistics released the October PMI data. The Hang Seng Index opened 34 points higher at 20,414 points and increased slightly by midday to 20,476 points, up 96 points or 0.47%. The China Enterprises Index rose 41 points or 0.57% to 7,328 points. The Hang Seng Tech Index increased by 39 points or 0.88% to 4,553 points. The total market turnover by midday was HKD 83.3 billion. Xiaomi (1810) reached a high of HKD 27.3 today, up 3.6% by midday to HKD 26.95. The National Development and Reform Commission is promoting renewable energy substitution actions, with Xinyi Solar (968) and Longyuan Power (916) rose by 7% and 3.8%, respectively.
