Hong Kong stock market continued to decline today. The HSI opened 25 points lower and then expanded its decline. It fell 125 points or 0.6% in mid-day to 19,949; the HSCEI fell 23 points or 0.4% to 6,740; HSTECH rose 8 points or 0.2% to 3,978. The market's half-day turnover totaled HK$49.4bn. Brilliance China (1114) rose 6.2% after there was a news that the Shenyang municipal government considered acquiring its 30% shares. Chile plans to nationalize the local lithium industry. Tianqi Lithium (9696), which holds local lithium mine companies, fell 4.6% today.
