Hang Seng Index opened 49 points higher at 17,160 points, closed up 17 points, or 0.1%, at 17,129 points at noon; the HSCEI Index rose 5 points, or 0.09%, to 6,035 points; the Hang Seng Technology Index fell 12 points, or 0.3%, reported 3,417 points. The total half-day turnover of the market was HK$37.5 bn. The geopolitical crisis in the Middle East intensified. Oil prices rose last night, with CNOOC (883) stock price rose 2.1%. Q Technology (1478) interim net profit surged year-on-year, and its stock price rose 13.1%. Major Tech technology stocks, Meituan (3690) and Alibaba (9988) fell 1.5% and 0.1% respectively, while Tencent (700) rose nearly 1%.
