The market is waiting to see the tense situation in the Middle East. Today, Hong Kong stocks market followed A shares to be soft. The HSI initially rose 44 points to 17,858 points, but fell 75 points, or 0.4%, to 17,737 in the mid-day; the HSCEI fell 29 points, or 0.5%, to 6,086; the HSTECH fell 40 points, or 1.1%, to 3,838. The total half-day turnover of the market was HK$36.13bn. Mobile phone parts stock Sunny (2382) rose 3.6%, but BYD Electronics (0285) and Q Tech (01478) both fell by more than 3%. Automobile stocks generally fell, with BYD (1211) and Li Auto (2015) falling 0.6% and 2.3% respectively.
