U.S. stocks closed down last night. The Hang Seng Index opened 225 points lower at 18,357 points. The index once narrowed the decline to 141 points, but it fell another 251 points, or 1.36%, to 18,329 point at market close. The H-Share Index fell 94 points, or 1.47%, at 6,273 points; the Hang Seng Technology Index fell 53 points, or 1.3%, to 4,126 points. The market turnover was HK$ 97.9 bn. HKEx (388) narrowed its decline to 0.66% to HK$299.6 after the results announcement. Orient Overseas International (316) fell 4.7% to HK$123.6, the worst performance among blue chips.
