On the first trading day of October, the Hang Seng Index loss all its gains from last Friday. The Hang Seng Index opened 263 points at 17,546 points. The half-day decline expanded to 531 points, or 3%, to 17,278 points. The H-Share Index fell 206 points or 3.3%, to 5,942 points. The Hang Seng Technology Index fell 113 points, or 2.9%, to 3,807 point. The market turnover was HK$ 55.4 bn. Evergrande (3333) rose more than 15% after resuming trading. After New World Development (17) announced its results, its share price fell more than 6%. On the other hand, Tracker Fund (2800) fell nearly 3%, with turnover reaching HK$10 bn.
