Powell delivered a speech at the Economic Club of New York luncheon. U.S. stocks came under pressure. The Hang Seng Index opened 169 points lower and opened at 17,127 points. The trend in the first half of the market was volatile, falling 70 points or 0.4% to 17,226 points. The H-Share Index fell 19 points, or 0.3%, to 5,905 points. The Hang Seng Technology Index fell 10 points, or 0.3%, to 3,690 points. The total half-day turnover of the market was HK$44.2 billion. Market research report said that European and American funds have sold a net 40 billion in Chinese stocks since September. Tencent (700), Alibaba (9988), JD.com (9618) and other companies have suffered the most selling. Today’s stock prices fell 1% , 0.4% and 0.1%, respectively.
