The U.S. stock market closed down last night. The Hang Seng Index opened 58 points higher at 18,852 points, the half-day increase expanded to 293 points or 1.6% to 19,087 point; The China Enterprises Index rose 111 points or 1.7% to 6,483 point; the Hang Seng Technology Index rose 86 points or 2.2% to 3,959 point. The market's half-day turnover was HK$ 46 bn. Chow Tai Fook Enterprise intends to acquire NWS (659), its stock price rose 10.3% to HK$8.81. In terms of sectors, mainland property developer rallied. Country Garden (2007) rose nearly 6%, Longfor (960) rose more than 7%, Country Garden Services (6098) rose more than 8%.
