U.S. indexes developed individually. The Dow Jones Index closed low. After the Hang Seng Index opened 45 points lower, the index once recovered the losses, but the Hang Seng Index then fell another 108 points, or 0.5%, to 20,189 points; the China Enterprises Index fell 38 points, or 0.6% at 6,859 point; the Hang Seng Technology Index fell 46 points, or 1.2%, to 3,869 point. The market's half-day turnover was HK$ 55.2 bn. Today, the Chinese property developer performed well today, Country Garden Services (6098) and China Overseas (688) both rose 2.7%. On the other hand, chip stocks were under pressure, SMIC (981) and Hua Hong Semiconductor (1347) fell 6.3% and 3.1% respectively.
