Half Day Roundup

The Hang Seng Index opened 136 points lower, at 18,199 points, and fell 313 points, or 1.7%, in half a day, to 18,021 points; the HSCEI Index fell 126 points, or 1.9%, to 6,429 points; the Hang Seng Technology Index fell 80 points, or 2.1%, to 3,686 points . The total half-day turnover of the market was HK$55.05 billion. SenseTime (20) raised HK$2 billion through a share placement at a discount of 9.1%. It opened lower but later rose 0.8% to HK$1.33. Chinese financial stocks retreated, with Agricultural Bank of China (1288), China Merchants Bank (3968), Bank of China (3988), Bank of Communications (3328) and Ping An of China (2318) fell 1.6% to 2.3%.
