Hong Kong stock market fluctuated today. The HSI opened 59 points higher and then fell 158 points. It then rose again, but fell 27 points or 0.1% at mid-day to 23,662; the HSCEI fell 1 point to 8,740; and the HSTECH fell 12 points or 0.2% to 5,627. The total market turnover was HK$127.5bn. Meituan’s (3690) adjusted profit increased 1.25x yoy in 4Q24. The market is concerned about the impact of its overseas investment and social security spending, and its share price fell nearly 3% at midday. NIO (9866)’s net loss widened to RMB 7.13bn in the 4Q24 and its share price fell 4.7%.
