The market is waiting for US President Trump to announce the latest details of reciprocal tariffs, and Hong Kong stock market fluctuated upward today. The HSI opened 39 points lower and then fell 225 points, but later rose 186 points. The HSI rose 14 points or 0.1% at mid-day to 23,221; the HSCEI rose 1 point to 8,538; and the HSTECH rose 31 points or 0.6% to 5,438. The total market turnover was HK$130.2bn. Xiaomi (1810), a SU7 was involved in a fatal car accident. Xiaomi's share price fell by another 0.9% today after falling by more than 5% yesterday. Alibaba (9988) reportedly will release a new model, Tongyi Qianwen, next week. The company's share price rose 0.1%.
