The Hang Seng Index opened slightly lower this morning by 8 points, opening at 18,306 points. The index closed rose 224 points or 1.2% for the whole day, to 18,538 points; the HSCEI rose 104 points, or 1.6%, to 6,561 points; the Hang Seng Technology Index It rose 75 points or 1.9% to 3,947 points. The market turnover was HK$123.7 billion. As for Chinese property stocks, another region lifted housing purchase restrictions, with Longfor (960) rebounding 3.6%. In addition, consumer stocks also outperformed today, with Lenovo (992) stock price rising 8.7% and Li Ning (2331) stock price rising 5%.
