Hong Kong stock market fluctuated within a narrow range today. The HSI opened 77 points higher, rose 121 points in the morning and then fell back. It fell 98 points, or 0.5%, to 19,131 at mid-day; the HSCEI fell 36 points, or 0.5%, to 6,850; the HSTECH It fell 32 points or 0.8% to 4,213. Kuaishou-W (1024) and New Oriental-S (9901) become constituent stocks of HSI, and their share prices rose 3% and 3.2% respectively. NWD (0017), which was excluded from the index, fell 5.6%. EU officials said discussions on Chinese electric vehicle tariffs came an agreement soon, and BYD (1211) shares rose 1.2%.
