Half Day Roundup
U.S. stocks rose. The Hang Seng Index opened 163 points higher this morning, closing at 21,599 points. The trend weakened in half a day, falling 70 points, and closing at 21,365 points. The China Enterprises Index fell 39 points or 0.5% to 7,271 point; the Hang Seng Technology Index fell 86 points or 1.9% to 4,461 point. Half-day market turnover was HK$93.6 bn. Heavy technology stocks followed the market and turned ATM down, falling 3.2%, 3.5% and 1.1% in half a day. BYD (1211) intends to enter the Indian market, its share price rose 5.8% to HK$229.8. In addition, Zhou Hei Ya (1458) clarified recent rumors, but its share price still fell 3.1% to HK$4.36.
