Half Day Roundup

U.S. stocks were closed for a holiday yesterday. The Hang Seng Index opened slightly higher by 8 points, at 18,036 points. However, the half-day index fell by 195 points, or 1.09%, to 17,832 points; the HSCEI Index fell 81 points, or 1.26%, to 6,389 points; Hang Seng Technology index fell 66 points or 1.83% to 3,583 points. The total half-day turnover of the market was HK$47.9 billion. The WAIC  is still being held, but AI concept stocks has cooled down, with SenseTime (20) and FOURTH PARADIGM (6682) fell 13% and 7% respectively. TingYi (322) raised the price of its flagship instant noodles starting this month, and its share price rose 2.6%.
