U.S. stocks rose. The Hang Seng Index opened 51 points higher this morning, at 19,003 points. The index once rose 264 points and then retreated. It rose 49 points, or 0.3%, to 19,001 points in half a day. The H-Share Index rose 26 points, or 0.4%, to 6,408 points. The Hang Seng Technology Index fell 12 points, or 0.3%, to 4,103 points. The market's half-day turnover was HK$ 59 bn. Sunny Optical (2382) announced a profit warning, and its stock price fell 13.2% to HK$67.7. Vinda (3331) announced its interim results on the same day. Net profit fell by 81%, and its stock price fell 1.3% to HK$18.
