Market Roundup
The market is watching for economic stimulus policies from the Two Sessions, and the Hong Kong stock market fell in the morning session. The Hang Seng Index opened 328 points lower, initially dropped 458 points to a low of 22,547 points, then narrowed its decline to close the half-day session down 105 points or 0.5% at 22,901 points. The China Enterprises Index fell 62 points or 0.7% to 8,357 points, and the Hang Seng Tech Index fell 14 points or 0.3% to 5,521 points. The total turnover of the market for the half-day was HKD 156.9 billion. BYD (1211) raised HKD 43.383 billion through a share placement at a 7.8% discount, and its stock price fell 6.6%.
