Half Day Roundup

The Hang Seng Index opened 31 points higher today to 20,082 points. The first-half market was volatile. It closed up 46 points or 0.2% in the half day to 20,097 point; the China Enterprises Index fell 3 points or 0.05% to 6,724 point; 1 point, or 0.03%, at 3,990. The market's half-day turnover was HK$53.1 bn. Today TV Broadcasting (511) continued to be hotly speculated, up 33.5% to HK$17.9, and fell 3% in half a day to HK$13. China Telecom stocks momentum continued. China Mobile (941) and China Telecom (728) both rose more than 1%.
