The Hang Seng Index opened 86 points higher at 16,819 points. In the morning, the Hang Seng Index rose as much as 274 points, returning to 17,000 points. However, the half-day gain narrowed to 91 points, or 0.5%, to 16,824 points; the H-Share Index rose by 24 points, or 0.4 points. %, to 5,893 points; the Hang Seng Technology Index rose 22 points, or 0.6%, to 3,466 points. The total half-day turnover of the market was HK$46 billion. There was news that NetEase (9999) would resume its cooperative relationship with Blizzard and that its latest imported games had been approved. The stock price rose 3.3% to HK$156.3. In addition, Macau gaming stocks generally performed well today, with SJM (880) rising the most, up 9.3%, while Sands China (1928) and Galaxy (27) rose 0.9% and 1.2% respectively.
