Half Day Roundup

The Hang Seng Index opened 45 points higher this morning, at 16,275 points. The half-day gain expanded to 190 points, or 1.2%, to 16,420 points; the HSCEI Index rose 70 points, or 1.2%, to 5,684 points; the Hang Seng Technology Index rose 42 points, or 1.2% reported 3,402 points. The total half-day turnover of the market was HK$42.9 billion. Xinyi Group maintained its upward trend after the results. Today, Xinyi Solar (968) and Xinyi Glass (868) rose 9.1% and 5.2% respectively. WuXi AppTec(2359) rebounded 4% today after its stock price plummeted yesterday due to the US bill.
