There has been constant news about tariffs between China and the United States. Recently, Trump said that he hopes to reach an agreement with some countries in the next two to three weeks, possibly including China. The Hang Seng Index opened 42 points lower this morning and then widened its losses, falling 360 points to a low of 21,712 points. It fell 163 points, or 0.7%, for the day to 21,910 points. The H-Share Index fell 59 points, or 0.7%, to 8,057 points. The Hang Seng Tech Index fell 73 points, or 1.5%, to 4,976 points. The total market turnover for the day was HKD 204.8 billion. The lock-up period for cornerstone investors of Horizon Robotics (9660) ended today, and its share price fell 4.3%. JD.com (9618) and Meituan (3690) continued to fall, with share prices falling 6.2% and 5.1% respectively.
