Last night, the U.S. stock index closed higher. The Hang Seng Index followed the ADR performance and opened 96 points higher at 19,936 points. The index once rose nearly 330 points and then softened. It rose 54 points or 0.3% throughout the day to 19,894 point. The China Enterprises Index rose 27 points or 0.4% to 6,702 point; the Hang Seng Technology Index rose 39 points or 1% to 3,901 point. The market turnover was HK$101.5 bn. BYD (1211) earned 4.1 times more in the first quarter, and its share price remained flat. PICC Property & Casualty Company (2328) first-quarter net profit rose 22%, and its share price rose 2.7% to HK$9.47.
