The Hang Seng Index opened 61 points higher at 23,544 points. The index once rose more than 380 points, but the full-day gain narrowed to 95 points or 0.4%, closing at 23,579 points. The China Enterprises Index rose 23 points or 0.27%, closing at 8,678 points. The Hang Seng Tech Index rose 16 points or 0.3%, closing at 5,589 points. The total market turnover for the day was HKD 239.6 billion. Pop Mart (9992) announced a 10% increase in earnings yesterday and rose another 9.2% today, closing at HKD 153.7. ENN Energy (2688) received a privatization proposal from its parent company, and its stock price rose 11%.
