Hong Kong stock market fluctuated today. The HSI fell 71 points after opening and then rose 139 points. It fell back to only rise 34 points, or 0.2%, to 19,254 at mid-day; the HSCEI rose 21 points, or 0.3%, to 6,842; The HSTECH rose 23 points, or 0.6%, to 4,004. The total mid-day turnover of the market was HK$69.60bn. JD.com (9618) sold US$1.75bn of convertible senior notes, and its stock price fell 1.9%. Electric vehicle stock Xpeng (9868) narrowed its first-quarter loss to Rmb1.37bn which beat consensus. Its stock price rose 13.2%. Lenovo Group (0992) was upgraded to "overweight" by a major bank, and its stock price rose 13.2% at mid-day.
