U.S. stock market, DJIA and S&P 500, hit new highs yesterday, while Hong Kong stock market fluctuated within a narrow range today. After opening 27 points higher, the HSI turned down 97 points, and then turned up again, rising 80 points or 0.4% at mid-day to 19,239; the HSCEI Index rose 25 points or 0.4% to 6,876; the HSTECH It rose 34 points or 0.8% to 4,256. The total mid-day market turnover was HK$60.97bn. SF Express (6936) was listed on the first day, rising 0.1% from the listing price of HK$34.3. Chow Tai Fook (1929) plans to spend up to HK$2bn on buybacks, and its stock price rose 6.4%.
