Hong Kong stocks opened slightly lower on the first trading day of December. The Hang Seng Index opened 24 points lower, at 17,019 points, and fell 212 points, or 1.2%, to 16,830 points at market close. The H-Share Index fell 96 points, or 1.6%, to 5,762 points. The Hang Seng Technology Index fell 69 points, or 1.8%, to 3,831 points. The market turnover was HK$114.2 bn. In terms of sectors, the DICJ announced gaming revenue of 16.04 billion patacas in November, in line with market expectations of 16 billion patacas. Gaming stocks rallied, with Sands China (1928) and Galaxy Entertainment (27) rising 2.3% and 1.2% respectively. In addition, The Wharf Holding (0004) was included in the MSCI Hong Kong Index, and its stock price rose 4.4% today.
