The Hang Seng Index rose 242 points or 1.2% throughout the day, closing at 21,133 points; the China Enterprises Index rose 94 points or 1.2%, closing at 7,784 points; the Hang Seng Tech Index rose 91 points or 1.8%, closing at 5,150 points. The total market turnover for the day was 246.4 billion HKD. Chinese tech stocks continued to perform well, driven by the DeepSeek concept, with Lenovo (992) up 6.2% and Tencent (700) up 1.8%. Additionally, BYD (1211) announced new intelligent driving technology, leading to a 4.5% increase in its stock price.
