Mainland China will adopt a loose policy next year. The Hang Seng Index opened 656 points higher at 21,070 points, but the index turned down by 103 points or 0.5% for the day, closing at 20,311 points. The China Enterprises Index fell by 54 points or 0.74%, closing at 7,306 points. The Hang Seng Tech Index dropped by 65 points or 1.4%, closing at 4,592 points. The total market turnover for the day was HKD 247.5 billion. The stock price of HKEX (388) fell by 1% to HKD 308.4. The stock price of Maogeping (1318), which was listed for the first day, rose by 76% to HKD 52.6.
