Market Roundup
The market is watching for economic stimulus policies from the Two Sessions, and the Hong Kong stock market fell in the morning. The Hang Seng Index opened 328 points lower, dropped 458 points in the early session to a low of 22,547 points, then narrowed its decline to close down 64 points or 0.3% at 22,941 points. The China Enterprises Index fell 52 points or 0.6% to 8,367 points. The Hang Seng Tech Index remained flat at 5,535 points. The total market turnover for the day was HKD 269.5 billion. BYD (1211) raised HKD 43.383 billion through a 7.8% discounted share placement, and its stock price fell 6.7%.
