The U.S. government put pressure on its allies to restrict the flow of advanced chips to China, and global chip stocks generally under pressure. The Hang Seng Index opened 86 points lower at 17,653 points, it rose 37 points or 0.2% in half a day to 17,777 points. The China National Index rose 10 points or 0.1% to 6,307 points. The Hang Seng Technology Index fell 24 points or 0.6% to 3,617 points. The total half-day turnover of the market was HK$46.7 billion. Amid the pressure on global chips, while Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (981) rose 1.6%. Nongfu Spring (9633)'s water quality inspection controversy came to an end, and its stock price rebounded 5.9%.
