Trump announced a 90-day suspension of 'reciprocal tariffs' for all countries except China. The Hang Seng Index opened 546 points higher, starting at 20,810 points. The day's gains narrowed to 417 points or 2.1%, closing at 20,682 points. The China Enterprises Index rose 133 points or 1.7%, closing at 7,668 points. The Hang Seng Tech Index rose 124 points or 2.6%, closing at 4,814 points. The total trading volume for the day was HKD 395.5 billion. Manufacturing-related stocks performed well today, with BYD Electronic (285) up 6.7%, Sunny Optical (2382) up 5.4%, and Shenzhou International (2313) up 4.7%.
