Hong Kong stocks turned weak this morning. The Hang Seng Index opened 48 points lower. It fell 128 points in the morning and then rose 74 points. The HSI fell 25 points or 0.13% in mid-day to 19,122; the HSCEI fell 6 points or 0.1% to 6,498; the HSTECH fell 1 point or 0.03% to 3,970. The market's mid-day turnover totaled HK$38.23bn. EV stocks performed well today, with NIO (9866), Xpeng Motors (9868) and Li Auto (2015) rising between 1.8% and 6.5%. China tech stocks performed differently, Tencent (0700) and Alibaba fell 1.6% and 1.8% respectively, while Meituan (3690) rose 0.48%.
