Hong Kong stock market rose this morning. After opening 67 points higher, the HSI expanded to 134 points. After half a day, it fell back to a rise of 96 points or 0.5% to 19,650. The HSCEI rose 28 points or 0.4% to 6,963. HSTECH rose 25 points, or 0.6%, to 4,137. The total mid-day turnover of the market was HK$92.32bn. The central government announced a series of policies to stimulate real estate last week. Chinese property sector performed individually. Yuexiu Properties (0123) and Vanke (2202) rose 5.9% and 6% respectively; KWG Pacific (1813) and Sino-Ocean (3377) fell 3.3% and 4.8%. %. During the quarterly review of the HSI, the index will include BYD Electronics (0285) and exclude CGS (6098), and they both rose 2.8% and 1.3% respectively today.
