Hong Kong stock market was dragged down by the decline of A-shares today. After opening 363 points higher, the HSI once fell 736 points. It fell 291 points or 1.4% at mid-day to 20,635. The HSCEI fell 110 points or 1.5% at mid-day, reported at 7,373 points; the HSTECH fell 40 points, or 0.9%, reported at 4,655. The total mid-day market turnover was HK$241.82bn. China real estate stocks generally fell, with real estate companies such as China Resources Land (1109), China Overseas (0688) and Longfor (0960) falling more than 5% at mid-day. Mainland brokerage stocks generally fell, with China Galaxy (6881) and CITIC Construction Investment (6066) falling between 7% and 10%.
