The Dow rose 112 points or 0.3% on last Friday, benefited from the better-than-consensus quarterly results of U.S. bank stocks. Hong Kong stock market fluctuated today. HSI fell 6 points in the early session, and then turned around and rose 208 points, reaching 21,947. HSI rose 157 points or 0.7% in mid-day to 21,896; HSCEI rose 24 points or 0.3% to 7,415. HSTECH rose 6 points or 0.1% to 4,560. The market's mid-day turnover totaled HK$75.1bn. The stock price of heavyweight Tencent (0700) rose 0.9% today; while the stock price of Meituan (3690) fell 2.7%.
